Metria AB has been selected as a participant in the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority's first Innovation Compass guidance project. The project focuses on the reliability of AI-based ESG data - an issue that is becoming increasingly important for the financial sector.
The FIN-FSA has initiated a new guidance project within the framework of the Innovation Compass, a forum where the authority, together with selected stakeholders, develops guidance on complex and emerging issues.
The first project addresses how to ensure the reliability of AI-based ESG data. ESG data is playing an increasingly important role in financial decision-making, while the demands for quality, transparency and traceability are growing in line with new regulations.
Metria has been selected as one of the participants in the project, based on the company's expertise in geographic data, real estate information and analysis.
ESG-related risks and opportunities are often strongly linked to geographical conditions. Making informed decisions requires data that is not only comprehensive, but also accurate, traceable and relevant in context," says Maria Nilsson, Head of GIS & Remote Sensing.
Through participation in the project, Metria contributes with perspectives on how geodata can strengthen the quality of sustainability data and thus improve decision-making in the financial sector.
The project is a step in the development of practices and guidance in an area that is central to future sustainability reporting and risk management.
