Guidelines for cookies
This website uses cookies to offer a better user experience and to improve our website and services.
A cookie is a piece of data that is transferred from a web server to your browser or hardware when you visit a website. If your browser is set to accept cookies, they will be stored in your browser or hardware until its storage time expires, or until you delete the cookie yourself.
Below we explain which cookies are used on our web pages and why we use them.
These guidelines for cookies (hereinafter the Guidelines) are applicable to Metria AB's (Metria) use of cookies on Metria's websites in Sweden, i.e. www.metria.se with associated underlying websites (Websites).
Purpose
The guidelines describe the cookies used on the Websites, the purpose and lifetime of each cookie (i.e. how long each cookie is saved) and how you can block or delete cookies.
Please note that if you do not allow us to use cookies, this may affect your use and experience of the websites. If you do not have cookies, then:
- The question whether you accept cookies comes up every time the page is loaded.
- The news you previously read will not be marked as read but will look like they are new.
- Form data is not saved so you have to fill in everything every time.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files with information that are stored on your computer (or other Internet-enabled devices, such as smartphones or tablets) when you visit a website. If your browser is set to accept cookies, they will be stored in your browser or hardware until its storage time expires, or until you delete the cookie yourself.
Below we explain which cookies are used on our web pages and why we use them.
A cookie usually contains the name of the website from which the cookie originated, the lifetime of the cookie (i.e. how long it will be stored on your device) and a value, which is usually a randomly generated unique number.
Cookies are used to make websites work more efficiently but also to provide certain information to the owner of a website. Cookies make it possible to keep different users apart from each other, which can give each user a more tailored and positive experience of the website.
What does Metria use cookies for?
Metria uses necessary cookies that are necessary for the Websites to function correctly and are necessary for you to be able to move around on a website and use its functions. You do not need to accept necessary cookies because they are required for us to be able to provide the services you want to use.
The Websites also use cookies that make it possible to optimize the Websites' functions, to improve your experience and to individualize future visits by remembering your user preferences. Do such cookies exist?
We also use cookies for marketing and market research, so that we can optimize and adapt the quality of our services for you. Furthermore, cookies are used to compile anonymous, aggregated statistics to understand how users use the Websites and which help us improve its structure and content.
Cookies used on Metria's websites
There are three types of cookies on the Websites:
- Long-term cookies, i.e. cookies that save a file for a longer period of time on your computer. Long-term cookies are used, for example, with functions that describe which information is new since you last visited the specific Website. How long the cookie remains on your device depends on the lifetime of the specific cookie and your browser's settings.
- Session cookies, i.e. cookies that are temporarily stored in your computer's memory while you visit a Website and when you surf around a page. Session cookies are used, for example, to determine which language you have selected. When you leave a Website, the session cookies used are deleted.
- Third-party cookies, i.e. cookies belonging to domains other than those displayed in the address bar. Third-party cookies open up possibilities to track the user's browsing history.
The table below indicates which individual cookies are used on our Websites, the purpose of each cookie and whether the information comes from or is disclosed to third parties. The table also indicates whether it is a long-term cookie, a session cookie or a third-party cookie. Furthermore, the table also indicates the lifetime of each cookie that is saved on the hard drive, which determines how long the cookie will be used.
We use this cookie to see if you have accepted the cookie information displayed the first time you visit our website.
