Do forests need to be valued?

When planning a route, it can be challenging to know exactly which parts need to be valued and how. If any part involves forest, valuation is normally done using the forest standard.

In principle, all valuations are done in the field by splitting trees, measuring sample plots and examining quality. In addition, the valuer needs to keep track of which growth area the forest belongs to. Unless the land in question is covered by the "large forestry agreement". To do this, information is collected, often manually, from several different sources. When the valuation is then performed, manual work often takes over where, for example, the root net is entered into valuation protocols linked to the properties concerned.

Metria Markkoll creates a whole new life for everyone who works with forest valuation. Cutting and pasting property designations or net root values is now a thing of the past!

To begin with, Metria Markkoll flags which parts of the route where a forest valuation needs to be done on each property. Then a list can be created at the touch of a button, which can then be loaded into Haglöf HMS and form the assignment with the relevant properties to be valued. All values such as root net, own utilization, grot (which seems to get a boost in 2025!) etc. can be exported in a customized report for Metria Markkoll. There, all values of the right property land in the right valuation protocol, completely automatically. Metria Markkoll can also handle VAT and because all data is gathered in one place, payments are also simplified.

Metria Markkoll is a digital service that aims to streamline and quality assure the process of network construction - from idea, analysis and investigation, through consultation, to preparation, land access and management.
