Handelsbanken's Nature and Biodiversity progress report 2023 provides an overview of Handelsbanken's work and strategy within nature and biodiversity. The report is based on data supplied by Metria, area calculations at property level and a compilation of Handelsbanken's entire property portfolio together with a comparison with the whole of Sweden.
We have used NMD (National Land Cover Data), the Swedish Board of Agriculture's block database and the Swedish Forest Agency's mountainous border and key biotopes to make area calculations of open wetlands, forests on and outside wetlands, trivial leaves, broadleaves, pastures, arable land, lakes and watercourses, sea, mountainous areas, key biotopes at property level.
