Sweden's electricity grid is undersized for future needs. Therefore, over the next 20 years, Svenska kraftnät will build 700 miles of lines through Sweden. This can be compared with the previous 20 years when around 60 miles of lines were built. The ambitious pace of expansion places completely new demands on the organization, which needs to work even smarter and more digitally. Metria is therefore pleased to be able to contribute to this by making Metria Markkoll the solution for Visual Property Data at Svenska kraftnät.
Visual property data is a tool for contract management with external property owners in the construction of new electricity networks, which will also work in the subsequent maintenance work. In fierce competition, Metria Markkoll is the winner with a solution that will help Svenska kraftnät to automate administrative tasks so that administrators can instead spend time on more value-creating tasks. For example, hundreds of individually customized agreements are created at the touch of a button.
Svenska kraftnät will have a solution where large and accurate amounts of information are stored, processed and linked to properties, landowners and affected parties. The digital service Metria Markkoll creates land agreements, valuation protocols, information letters and maps quickly and efficiently.
-It is with great pleasure that we note that Metria has won the procurement of Visual Property Data. When Sweden's largest player in the expansion of the electricity network now chooses Metria Markkoll, it is proof that Metria's efforts to simplify the process of land access are successful. We are proud that Metria will facilitate Svenska kraftnät's network expansion of transmission networks in Sweden, says Jonas Åkerman, CEO of Metria.
About Svenska kraftnät
Affärsverket Svenska Kraftnät is a state-owned company tasked with managing Sweden's transmission network for electric power, which comprises approximately 16,000 kilometers of 400 kV and 220 kV lines, including transformer and switching stations, as well as foreign power connections. Sweden's transmission network is in great need of expansion and several construction projects to build new power lines through the country have started or are planned. To facilitate and streamline this work, Svenska Kraftnät has procured a system for visual property data - a tool for contract management with external property owners in construction projects and subsequent contract management for maintenance work in the power line corridors.
