The Swedish EPA awards Metria two framework agreements, both with a contract period of four years with the possibility of extension for another three years. The Swedish EPA estimates the value of the agreements over the seven-year period to total approximately SEK 430 million. A direct effect for Metria is that we can continue to develop our competencies in geographic information in the field of nature and the environment, and thus continue to be a leader in the field.

- "At Metria, we are very proud of the trust placed in us and that we can continue to contribute to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's environmental work. We now have the opportunity to further develop the important work that our competent employees perform, says Jonas Åkerman, CEO, Metria AB.

One of the framework agreements concerns geographical IT systems and covers the operation, management, support and development of administrator support and GIS support systems for the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's needs in areas such as protection, maintenance and property management. Metria's employees together have broad expertise in IT development, operation and support in the GIS area. Many also have expertise in the nature and environment field. Metria has extensive experience in automating data flows and creating service-based data supply in customized system solutions.

The second framework agreement concerns operational support for remote sensing and geographic information management. The agreement covers, among other things, the production of land cover data and habitat mapping, but also the production of various types of statistics and data that the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency needs as a basis for, for example, making decisions or following up implemented measures. Metria's experts have a high level of expertise in remote sensing and GIS analysis as well as in the field of nature and the environment, and they are also very used to working closely with each customer to produce the data the business needs.
